Abstract:With the rapid development of transportation infrastructure in mountainous areas, the construction of mountain pass tunnels has become increasingly common. The slope deposits at tunnel portals, due to their unique geological structure and composition, often pose safety risks and low construction efficiency when using traditional construction methods in such geological conditions, posing many challenges to tunnel construction. Taking the shallow buried section of the slope deposits at the portal end of the Xitian Shan Long Tunnel as an example, this paper conducts in-depth analysis of the geological characteristics of slope deposits, focusing on the pre-excavation treatment measures, key technical measures during construction, and the construction monitoring and feedback mechanism, thus significantly improving the safety of tunnel construction and solving the problem of shallow buried section of slope deposits at tunnel portals. It has reference significance for other similar projects.
